Hey there,

I'm sure you all have been through this but I am looking for opinions. We all know what Opionions are like but here it goes.

I am going to paint my car back to the original Maroon color. The car had a Black factory vinal top and I have read that the correct stipe is White for this color.

Any thoughts? I don't know if I like the stark contrast to white. This is what I have now...

Why not ditch the Z/28 stripes, and go with the original white bumble bee stripe.

I was thinking of that as well. The White bumble bee would be appropriate. Would you do the pinstriping too?

I'm with John, white bubble bee nose would look great/correct. I've got to add that the set up now looks real good too. Pinstripes,if they are real paint, look good. I wonder if you did a white bee stripe and had black pinstripes. The pinstripe would be hidden till you came up on it.
Just rambling on..

Of course! The more original the better!

The car most likely had a white bumble-bee stripe, but I see your point. With a black v-top and interior it make look odd. I would go with a black bumble-bee myself. Remember, Chevy color charts were just a SUGGESTION and that any color combo could be ordered. So, going with a black nose and pin stripes would be correct as well.
