I was just reading an artical in Muscle Car Review and it stated the black painted tail panels were painted gloss black. Mine is painted semi-gloss and that is what I see on most restored cars. The writer claims this info from cars that still have there original paint on them. Does anyone have any info on this?? Also what shade of black goes on the rockers of an RS.

I have always heard and have read in a few places that the rear tail panel on big block cars were painted "Semi-Gloss" black.

I just had mine painted semi gloss today.

There is a member in my Camaro club though who insist that the rear panels were "gloss black".

I guess this is one of those that could go either way.
