Where would I find all the threads about radio/stereo choices and installs ?? I want to put a radio in the 67, but would like info/input about the "classic" styles and cd changer compatability. ;)

We don't have a seperate forum for audio. You'll have to just do a search on the forum for "radio" or "audio". I think most of the audio related posts get put in the electrical section.

With amount of questions that have been asked re. audio, do you think that it's time to have a specific forum for this topic? Or would this clutter up the site? Curious?

Yeah, I tried that first, Christropher, and got a lot of unrelated hits. I guess I will start a thread in electrical and see what I get.
Thanks:yes:

I think you'll find most related threads in the Camaro Tech Forum. There have been numerous threads about speakers, radios, antennas, etc., posted in that forum.

capt, while there are info. requests for 'audio' there are also many requests for 'oil' and garages and the list goes on and on. Seperate sections for too many topics will drive us moderators nuts trying to keep up ;) Id stick to Elec. section as most I have seen go there but also my Interior section has questions there about installing radios, mp3, CD players etc. in the dash and glove box. The search should give you plenty of chit chat. :)

interestingly, you'll find a lot of "audio" posts in the convertible section, too, as we vert owners struggle with speaker placement.

There have been a lot of threads on stereos. Searching for "speakers" might reveal a lot of them.

Thanks for the feed back on starting up yet another forum for audio...I can see the crossover of intents. Seems like each Camaro model has its unique quirks and probs like the speaker assembly in the vert. Still working on that ...without destroying the orig looks.

Finally did without the rear speakers and put in a 6" Bazooka. It gives a fuller sound, even when the top is down, still leaving room in the trunk...mind you having a space saver spare sure helps as well.

How about placing a sticky in electrical pertaining to audio ?

Problem is; there are posts in Tech and Interior as well. How would they all get in 1 relevant location?? I have been reading quite a few, but only a couple actually contain the info I am looking for. There ARE however numerous posts of awesome speaker enclosures and installs that really should be gathered for reference !!! Maybe we need to petition a new forum .....:D

How about placing a sticky in electrical pertaining to audio ?

Now THAT's something I can do.

Here's how it's gonna have to work:

I'll start a thread in Electrical titled "audio links" Everytime we get a good new post on stereo / audio / speakers / amps, whatever, I'll add a link in the "Audio Links post"

To make it work, they need a good accurate searchable title. When you hit the link button, it goes twice, and highlights the second part: URL="http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=121926&highlight=dave+trunk"]http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=121926&highlight=dave+trunk-URL] kinda like that. You can type a title in place of the highlight. That title is what "shows"

The rest of you, warm up your searches. I'll take care of the new stuff as it comes in, you guys gotta find the old stuff.

Being one who doesn't like to fill a screen full of sticky's, it will eventually have to go in the "electrical basics" sticky. For now, lets just keep adding, and keep it at the top of the list on it's own, so it comes up in new post searches too.

Remeber, nothing in the "sticky" except links. no comments, no attaboys, no itsa bout times, just links. Keep it short and sweet.

put em here: Audio Links (http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?p=911627#post911627)
