Ok, I took out the bucket seatrs on my 67 RS to have them re-done. When I took them to be recovered, the guy told me I might have firebird buckets because the upper seat cover is not quite right. Could this be possible? I didnt know there were two different style of buckets seats that were so close to each other in dimensions.
thanks guys!!

Possibly. Since the Firebird was supposed to be the "luxury" model, the seat foam was more like the deluxe interior on the Camaro. If you are doing standard interior, it could make the seat tight as all get out when it comes to putting on the brand new standard covers.

When installing new upholstery, it is always a good idea to use new seat foam anyway. If they are Firebird seats, then Stryker is correct, it would have a delux foam.

Old thread but good question - except for covers and foam, are the seats internally similar to the camaro seats and can they be restored as standard vs. deluxe?
