I have a 69 camaro conv. and I am getting ready to switch the powerglide to a turbo 350, My question is do I need a conversion rod for the linkage or is it the same linkage set up on a powerglide.

I did the reverse and it was the same. You may have to change the detent plate on the shifter in order to manually shift to 1st. Otherwise, its a breeze.

Be sure to hand start the cooler lines before lifting the trans into place.

I had to use a new linkage. For whatever reason my stock PG linkage would not fit. Wrong bends = too short.
