I haven't been out on New Years Eve in probably 20 years. I'll be hittin' the sack by 10:30 tonight like most nights. :boring:.

jr68 - I guess that makes me even more dull than you.

Daughter went to a friends house and is staying the night. Me and the Misses are staying home and "hosting" a small party for my 2 boys who wanted to have a few of their friends over to watch Football and play Playstaion. Works for me.

Have a a happy and health New Years You All ... :beers:

Probably sawing wood (zzzzz) by 11:30pm, I think new years will come while Im asleep too.
New years day, going to see National Treasure movie at matinee 1pm $5.00, then father in law is bringing over chicken and dumplings :D Life is good.

Jim, water is cheaper than that O'Douls, you get the same effect and water tastes better, lol.

I don't drink so I guess I'm no fun. Just checking the forums of Team Camaro, Pro-touring.com and Lateral-G.com. Drinking Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi. Watching Law & Order.
I usually don't make it to midnight.

Yup, we're (misses & I ) are staying in, doing a Soprano's retrospective of the last 4 or 5 seasons and finishing off a big bottle o' the 'bubbly' ...
Since it's @15 outside right now and headed down to @"0" tonight - I think staying in is a very good idea ;)
Looking forward to a nice little walk and some football tomorrow

Wishing all a safe and happy New Year :hurray:

Jeesh....

Old farts....aren't we :) I haven't been to a New Years party in 20 years so staying home is normal. I wake up everyday at 4:30 am and start work at 6:30 am 6 days a week. I am dead before 11pm every night.
So last night I bought some Gin and Tonic, White Wine (wife) and some Blackberry Brandy......of which I took a shot at 9 pm. I was out like a light on the couch by 10 pm without anything else to drink and my wife was in bed when I work up 4:45 this morning :( Oh well.... its tough to get old....

I agree with not going out and driving on New Year's eve (amatuer night). But rather than stay home all evening, we had a "progressive" party last night with 6 other couples -- started at my house with appetizers :beers:, WALKED around the corner to my friend's house and had salad and other appetizers :beers:, WALKED back across the street to my other friend's hosue and had the main dinner course :beers:, WALKED down the street a few houses to another friend's house and had dessert :beers:, then WALKED across the street to our other friend's place and partied in the new year :beers: -- WALKED (perhaps not exactly on a straight line home -- no fuss, no muss and no driving )

Happy New Year to everyone

I too stayed home and the brother and sister in-law and kids came over… 4 bottles of champagne and various munchies later everybody left at 11PM (West Cost Time). I had to pour Mom into bed and she is still sleeping. I’m trying to check the $1Million dollar Calif. Lottery to see if I won any thing….
P.S. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!

As much as I would have liked to just stay home and relax, I ended up going to 2 different house parties and was in bed by 3am. Had to make an appearance at my g/f's cousin's house. Him and all his friends are "breeders", each with minimum 2 kids. So it was more like a day care than a New Years party. From there it was to a buddies house where there were lots of people I haven't seen since high school, graduated in 1999. 2 kegs, fireworks, that new game Rock Band, about 30 people or so. It was like a reunion, good to see all my old buddies from back in the day. I stopped counting how many times I heard," Still have your Camaro?" I was the designated driver , since I usually don't drink these days, and I have a 7 passenger vehicle so I was the shuttle home. To my surprise I did not see 1 check point or any cops! I think they stuck to the downtown areas, I stuck to back roads and freeways the whole way. All in all a good New Years! :beers:

My wife and I took our son to our friend's house and then spent the night. Off the roads by 7:30 last night and didn't get back on until this morning at 8:30. Stayed up til 2 and felt safe. Saved a few bucks, too!
