I would (and do ...) use the one piece with just a dab of sealant (silicone) in the four corners of the gasket to rail contact. 67CamaroRS/SS Jan 2nd, 08, 08:24 AM If you bought a HEAD SET then they don't come with one. You have to buy a full set or a CONVERSION SET to get the oil pan gasket. speedfreek Jan 2nd, 08, 10:31 AM I would (and do ...) use the one piece with just a dab of sealant (silicone) in the four corners of the gasket to rail contact. Yep, me too. dnult Jan 2nd, 08, 11:13 AM Just be sure to use a 'dab' of sealant in those transition areas near the main bearings. All other areas of the gasket should be clean and dry. The worst thing you can do is dope up the whole thing - especially on a nice rubber one-piece gasket. |
