Among other things, I'm going from a 250 six, console powerglide, to a small block and M21 in my '69. If the price doesn't stop me, I'd like to see about a hydraulic clutch. But I also need bellhousing, clutch pedal and all the linkage, crossmember and what else? Is there a forum sponsor that can hook me up, or am I going to need to piece it all together? Advice is always welcome. :D Kevin

Why are you considering a hydraulic clutch. A mechanical setup (if there is room for it) is more reliable and MUCH cheaper! You can get a pedal and linkage kit and a bell housing from a variety of different places (Ground UP the site sponsor for one).

I was thinking it would be easier for my wife to drive. On second thought...

I've got the basic Zoom clutch (with a sbc that has about 350hp) and the clutch is super easy to push in.

I've got a Centerforce dual friction, very soft pedal, I don't think she would have a problem.

A basic diaphram clutch is very easy to push. I'm wondering what your rear end ratio is. If it's not at least a 3:55, the m-21 close ratio transmission will cause it to be very hard on clutches. An m-20 is a much better ratio for street cruising.
