I've thought about what you guys said and may go this route. I'm gonna wait to get a GOOD set of heads for the future blower motor build. For now or a couple of years I want a little more. Recap..I have a stock GM 350 290hp crate and am looking for a little more power. I found these heads http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-ProComp-Small-Block-Chevy-Assembled-Aluminum-Heads_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33617QQihZ020QQit emZ300186856755QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW and was wondering if they were OK for the money for what I'm doing. The chambers will bring me at around 9:7.1. I called UDHarrold and talked to him for a while ( nice man ) he reccommended using a lunati 60103 cam with this setup. I have 3:25 gears and am getting a 2500-2800 stall. What do you think?

Do a search for pro comp. I remember reading someone's post about the poor quality of these heads. From what I've read about them I would not buy them.

I think this will be one of those 'get your own opinion' kinda deals. Ive read a few places where people swear they work like brodix heads and some not enjoy them so much.
Il think Ill end up trying them. Not for an all out race motor, but for a cool treet motor why not?

Pro Comp parts are not allowed in my shop. I cannot take the negative publicity of poor quality parts!!!!!!!

America depends upon each of us to buy SOMETHING American once in a while.
CHEAP Chinese Crap isn't a wise investment.
AFR, Canfield, Brodix etc are cast, machined, assembled in the USA.
Heads are an investment, Do you know what a gush of water from a broken casting slamming into the cylinder looks like afterward when the motor is spinning at 5,000 rpm?
The carburetor is salvageable.
