It's time for door panels for my 67 vert. I see many differnent makes and styles and I'm confused as to which is best/most appropiate. The two pieces if metal trim on each door look just OK and could be re-used but I think I would prefer a completly assembled door panel and just have to install it. My guess is the trim would get bent and beat-up getting it off.
What should I buy guys?

What was your car originally?
Keep in mind that your regulators, both handle and window, are different from a 67 Standard interior to a Deluxe!
You may want to consider what you want by going through a catalog first!

67fan... if you have not put one of these on before, they can be a pain. I'd suggest pay the bit extra and just slip the assembled panel on. Had a bud with experience put on un-assembled ones, and was glad that he had done it before.

I am not sure what you have ?
67 door panel's do not come in assembled or unassembled , just STD or DELUXE
68 69 door panel's come in assembled and unassembled with one having the metal door top inner thingy put it , THAT IS ONE MORE THING US 67 TYPE'S DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT , here is a shot of my 67 door panel's they are deluxe is your's this style ?
if they are just be sure to be sitting down and have some cold water (5GAL) handy for when you pass out after looking at the price !!
at time's I have seen 67 std door panel's for as little as $49 per pair ,
the deluxe door panel's are MORE THAN $49 per pair ;)

I'm sorry for the confusion. I have the standard interior, black, but see panels sold both with the two strips of metal trim that are on the panles and those sold without the trim. I guess with the "without" panels you need to re-use the trim peices from my current panels. But I did not know how easy those metal trim pieces are to get off with out ruining them or crimping/bending them in the process.
I saw some PUI panels on e-bay for $200 but they only have the bottom trim on them. There are some others on E-bay for only $65 but it looks like you would have to re-use or order new metal trim. Any first hand experince would be appreciated.

Hi.The top chrome piece i think you are talking about on a 67 is not attached to the door trim. The top chrome piece screws onto the body first and then the door panels and rear quarter trim slide up into them.67 and 68 are different panels.Ive just ordered the Premium door and rear quarters for my 67 from Classics Industries so ill post about the quality and fit when i get them.

Top Strip is mounted to door & panel tucks up under it

Bottom strip has metal pieces on the back that get bent over to hold strip to panel. ( Had stick on type but they kept comming loose in hot weather )
