what would i need to do to convert my automatic 67 camaro rs to a manual transmission? is there a conversion kit? what is the proper transmission, etc? tips, info, help, anything

Ed's post links to a couple vendors of TKO 5 speed overdrive transmissions. The first, CC5S, is a site sponsor, and very highly regarded.

For those who prefer the "old school" it certainly still possible to retrofit a munncie 4 speed, using all reproduction of original parts. Don't know of anyone selling a complete kit, but all the stuff is available. Trans could be new or used.

Way back when, I converted mine from a powerglide to a muncie 4 speed. 2 years ago, a TKO500 went in. Overdrive is wonderful!

I'd ask Keisler for a quote for your application its pretty easy to do online from their websit, and then they email and mail you the quote. They aren't the cheapest but I like their kit that moves the shifter forward so you don't have to do as much cutting in the floor.

Probably expect about 5k on the 6 speed and about 1k less on the 5 spd.
