Has anyone replaced the outer rockers if so how much trouble, I just bought a car that may need them. The floor pans are very solid in the car just the rockers and quarters have rust not common in the southern cars for the rockers.

I've replaced just the rocker skins before. I didn't like how the replacement fit AT ALL and it required extensive modification to fit properly.
That's just one example. I'm sure there are replacement skins that fit better, but the two I've seen didn't.
And there's no sense in replacing the entire rocker if the underlying structure is solid and a skin will work. I would patch it before I go replacing another skin though. It wasn't worth the time and hassle to me.
