Ok, I've installed new cowl vent wedge seals and the panel is STILL low at the widshield. It's better than it was but still unacceptable.
Again Fenders and cowl panel are GM sheeetmetal. Is there some trick to getting this to line up? Will shims (washers) under the lower windshield moulding clips help? ARGGGG!
Thanks in advance

JP,
Is it bent?
Maybe you have the wrong bend (over 90 degrees?) in it so it is sitting lower than it should.
If your fenders line up to your doors you should be on the right track. Does your cowl slide up good under the lower window trim?

kel,
The front of the panel actualy lines up good with the fenders and it slides under the lower trim easily, so I don't think it's bent.
The fender to door gaps are perfect. It almost seems the window moulding pushes the cowl panel down too far, but the moulding rest right where it should on top of the fenders.
Your 68 is looking good. Did you do a frame off restoration?
