As I said in a post a while Im looking for a new set of rims and tires for my 68 and I was wondering if there is anyone in the San Jose (bay area) who would be willing to let me try a 275/40/17 tire on a 9.5 rim so I can see if I have clearence or not. I know measurements can be taken to see if I have the clearence but I would really like to see in person if this tire size will fit or not since its seems to go 50/50 on the 68s.

If so, maybe shoot me a PM and let me know what your weekend is like and if we can work something out.

My Thanks goes out to George (gchavarr) for allowing me to come over and try on one of his wheels to make sure I had clearence for this. The 275/40/17 with 5.5 BS fit like a glove. I now know what I can order. Thanks again George!
