I am doing a minor trunk resotoration of a fairly nice 50K orig mile car. I want to make sure it is done right.
My cocktail shakers are flat black. I've been told by a local "camaro expert" they should be splatter painted just like the rest of trunk.
This car is documented & I've talked to the prev. owners. Everything "appears" to be fairly virgin.
So, I trust you guys. What's the right color? Flat black or overspray with splatter paint?
Thanks in advance!!

Mine are flat black as are two other sets I've seen. Mine are original on a 69. I've seen responses to this question also saying that they are splatter painted. However, I personally haven't seen it.

By using the search feature (upper rifht on most pages here) you will find a wealth of already asked and answered information. I found this in the "Body Shop" forum...

I question the splatter around the base's because the trunk mat had to go down and then the shakers....

Some are black, but the majority probably are splattered.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like anything goes. I wonder if it wasn't a difference between assembly plants too?
DjD-thanks for the search link. I didn't think to search "body" section. Me bad.
