I have an an original 69 RS/SS 396 convertible, and I have noticed that I rarely see any of these cars at cruises and car shows. I see the occasional small block car, and a few more 67/68 cars, but I have only seen another 69 RS/SS/ BB convertible a couple of times. Does anyone have the approximate production numbers for this combination, both auto and 4-sp?

Just curious!

There are lists of how many 69 Camaro V8 convertibles were built, how many Camaros (both coupes and convertibles) had RPO Z27 (SS) or RPO Z22 (RS), how many Camaros had RPO L35, L34, L78, or L89, and how many Camaros had M40, M20, M21, or M22. There aren't lists of how many with which combinations, and extrapolation/estimation based on percentage of total for individual options isn't meaningful. It also depends on which BB you have. For example, L89 was only on 311 cars total, so an L89 vert is very rare (there are a few here at TC). Even the L35, which was most plentiful, only went in 6,752 cars. They are all pretty rare, relatively speaking.

Of course, so are 69 6 cyl verts... 1,707 of those.
