Guys, my brother in law just purchased a numbers matching 68 SS 396-350 4 speed rock crusher -supposedly an unrestored survivor. It was packed up in some guys basement for the past 20 years and is absolutely beautiful. Problem is that the protecto plate is missing. Do these cars generally have a build sheet stuffed away somewhere? Where would that be? Thanks!

If it'a an LOS car, then under the rear seat or on top of the gas tank. If it's a NOR car, probably didn't get put in the car.

LOS is usually on top of the gas tank. Never heard of them under the seat.

I have only found them on 69 models from Van Nuys on the gas tank.
