309 is the date code?? same price as the repro licensed masters? the only difference would be the us stamp on it that wouldn't be to hard to duplicate rick's camaro price for a real one is $360 another ebay scam is just my guess

No, I've followed this seller over the years. Its not a scam at all. Its just that some folks charge way too much for master cylinders.($360? come on!)

I'm not affiliated with the seller in any way, but this is simply a rebuilt, original 309 MC. For what its worth, his description of the offshore units being of poor quality is way off base. I would not hesitate to use one on my car. The sellers unit is painted with cast iron and gold paint. The first time brake fluid hits it,(which it will) this would very likely peel off. Not good.

The repops are natural cast iron finish as original,(not "pot metal")and have plated (not painted) lids. They are also NEW, not rebuilt.

When it comes to brakes, I always like to rely on new components.

Oh, and the repops cost about 25% less as well. :)

I think the US stamping on this cylinder is different than my original. I dont think it's real IMO.
