Pound for pound.....what's the best body filler one can buy for their restoration? I'm talking name brands vs. type. Thanks everyone.

Tony;
I hope 'MartinSr' chimes in here - he recommended Evercoat "Rage" _ http://www.evercoat.com/productCategory.aspx - to me in a post many moons ago and it has worked well on several projects.

I'm not a 'body guy' - but, and with lots of pounding, cussing, fileing, cussing, filling, cussing, sanding, cussing and did I mention cussing - I play one in my driveway.
I have gotten excellent results, every time with this product and no failures to date.

Hope this helps;

John

I have to second that. Evercoat Rage is great. Goes on nice without air bubbles. Sands very easy. It was recommend to me by Hot Rods and Custom Stuff and they build some very high end cars. Good enough for them, good enough for me.

www.parasolinc.com (http://www.parasolinc.com) is one of the best. Extremely expensive . Then again you should not be using to much filler !

I just finished using Evercoat's Rage Gold. Went on extremely well and sanded nicely. It was recommended by the guy at the Paint and Body Store. Its a bit pricey $30 / gal but I have seen it online for about $20 plus shipping.

Can someone explain the difference between Evercoat Rage and Rage Gold? Is it just the sanding characteristics? I also see that they now have Rage Xtreme. Does this product eliminate the need to use a glazing compound?
