Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me roughly how much horse power the stock sending unit with 3/8" supply line and 1/4" return line can support. The car currently has the GM crate 350/330hp but sometime down the line if I have the funds I would like to add a supercharger and get up around 450HP. Thanks, Eric

I am running a stock fuel line with a holley red pump (7psi) on a ZZ502 with no problems

You should be fine chevypower, the COPO cars with their 427ci/425HP and the ZL1 427ci/430HP all had 3/8 lines.

Thanks guys, the body work is coming along nicely and if there's any cash left over I'd like to beef up the engine and front suspension. This is all getting quite addicting! At first I just wanted to get it presentable after the whole purchase fiasco, now I don't want to stop! Take care, Eric.

Since a lean starvation could kill a motor...especially if it's under boost...I'd consider going larger than 3/8" line when you go over 450 HP. It's better to be safe than sorry. Cheaping out on fuel line size is not a cheap-out if you melt a piston. Don't play with fire. ...punn intended.

My $.02 :)

3/8" should be ok to 450 HP. What pump are you running?

As long as you can support 7 to 8 psi to your motor at WOT, you are good to go ,I have my regulator set at 8 psi (just watch your fuel press guage), thats the key supply above min 6 /max. 8 psi at wot (there was a thread in here about 2 months ago that went into great detail on this subject ) this is just in a nut shell. Good luck and I hope Happy Motoring
