I have a few questions regarding the fuel gage/ammeter module on my 1973 Camaro Z28:

(1) The gas gauge in our cluster says "unleaded fuel only". The cluster had the original part number on it so I am sure it its correct. I was told this is not correct for 1973. This wording came out in 1975??? Can someone confirm this or not? We do have the 7000 rpm tach and the 130MPH speedo.

(2) I replaced the main dash harness and fuse panel with a repro one from M&H. It fit great, but there is one difference. The connector that hooks to the ammeter is a 2 prong connector, while on the back of the ammeter there is only one prong. Which is correct for 1973? One or two prongs?

These two problems may be related. Maybe at one time someone swapped out the gas gauge/ammeter module with a newer style. This may be why the ammeter connection has only one pin and the gas gauge reads "unleaded fuel only"? What do you think?

Thanks in advance for any insight....Steve T.
