I have a '67 SS/RS which I was having issues with the headlight doors not opening. I changed every thing, from the headlight switch, the breaker, all 3 relays, the motors, and the stop switches. I adjusted the doors to make sure they were contacting the limit switches good, and everything seemed to be all right except for after I would run the car, I could hear a clicking coming from the left fender, at the relays. Now, the doors once again will not open, I no longer have a clicking, I think the circuit breaker finally blew. My question is does any one know what may be my problem, what was causing the relays to cycle with the engine off? Any help/ideas would be appreciated. Thanks :beers:

Sounds like you are getting power or a ground someplace you shouldn't be.. Wiring my headlights is where I had to stop on my car a few years ago. I havn't got back to it yet...

Sounds like you finally wore out your circuit breaker from a short or mis-wiring somewhere. Get a new 10 amp circuit breaker and double check that all the limit switches and relays are wired exactly as listed on my help page here:

Do not attempt to bypass the circuit breaker…a short will fry your RS harness in an instant with agonizing and very hard to detect results. Let us know how it goes.
