i need to have my 67 camaro repainted it was painted in 1980 with lacqur and its now cracking and popping it will have to be stripped so im going to start looking for someone to do it if the price is right .the body is in very good shape so im going to start shopping for someone i problely guess at the answer but what would be a ballpark price i should be looking at im guessing between 5000 and 10,000 do u think thats realistic ? tony

Absolutely.
Actually Tony, it'll all depend on how far you and\or the painter decide to go with the current paint. It sounds like you already figure that the car will have to go down to metal before repainting with those figures.

Sounds like a good ballpark. Hard to guess real close on a car that has seen 30+ years of abuse, never know what you'll find when you make your way to bare metal.

One tip DO NOT go with the cheapest bid. Try to find a shop you feel comfortable with dealing with and takes the time to listen to what you want when thier done.
