Hi Guys, need some help. I bought a Hurst shifter for my 69 a couple years ago on Ebay. It's the correct shifter, but the rods don't seem to line up right. So I'm guessing they are the wrong ones. Ther are numbers on two of the rods. 6307 07 & 3691 08. Reverse has no numbers. So what I'm gettig at is, there any way to tell if you have the right linkage. And if not, who has a good reproduction. Thanks in advance.

I bought mine from Camaro Specialties in East Aurora , 716-652-7086. I bought a restored shifter and decided to buy the rods and everything new. It works perfect. I think because they also do restorations they know the good from the junk.

None of those translate to 1969 Camaro rods.

What transmision are you running in it? I'm pretty sure Hurst sells the right linkage if you can't find GM stuff.

You can buy repro factory rods and levers from places such as Heartbeat City. You will need to buy the rubber bushings for the shifter levers from the guy that sells Pontiac shifters on-line. Or you can buy the Hurst rods and levers. They will work on the factory shifter but are larger diameter and do not use the rubber bushings at the shifter levers, but use metal bushings on the tranny levers. I have used both types. The parts are not inexpensive from Hurst.
