I'm about to have the paint and body work started on my '69 Camaro (coupe). The car is a pre-x code RS LM1 car with the following options:
350 w/ 4bbl Q-jet
PowerGlide trans
12 bolt posi w/ 3.08 gears
Power windows
Remote mirror
A/C
Vigilite (U46) system
AM/FM radio
Console gauge package
Speed-minder speedometer
Rear defrost
Folding rear seat
Deluxe houndstooth
Power drum brakes (changing to front discs)
Rosewood dash
The paint code is Garnet Red with a white vinyl top and white deluxe interior. The car will be repainted red, but I'm changing the interior to black deluxe and getting rid of the white top. The guy that is doing the paint and body work recently finished a '58 Corvette that sold at the '08 B-J auction for $220,000, so I'm sure that the paint will come out very nice. All the rust has been repaired, and everything will look factory fresh.
The motor and trans are original, but I'm putting in a date-coded 396 and TH-400 trans with the factory big block A/C suitcase and everything that goes with it.
What can expect to get for the car given today's market?
Thanks,
Brian
