I got a new GM spoiler from classic industries for my 67 and want to install it RIGHT! No template was included with the spoiler and the studs are already mounted in the spoiler. Since its a 67 and not a 68, the trunk lid doesn't have the embossed holes underneath for any help. Has anybody done this install before? Thanks

The only thing I can think of is to get your hands on a '67 assembly manual. That should have the measurements you need.

I just mounted a spoiler on a 68. The assembly manual gave no details.
I set the spoiler on the deck lid and fudged the distance from the back to get an aproximate location front to rear. then I
measured the deck lid and found center across the car. Then I measured the distance between the 2 front center bolts and located then on the deck lid. Be careful when you measure between the bolts, the bolts were not in straight, measure at the spoiler and at the end of the bolt. I drilled these two holes and then I put masking tape near where the other two front bolts were located. I then sat the spoiler on the deck lid aligning the 2 holes and when I pressed down on the spoiler it made an impression in the tape where the other 2 front holes were located.
I drilled out these holes. I then mounted the spoiler back up and with more tape I located the other 4 holes. Make sure the holes are large enough to get the spoiler in cleanly,
you don't want the paint to chip off the sides of the holes. Also paint the holes with por-15 before installation and put some silicone on the nuts during installation. This will insure that the holes will not rust and no water will get into the trunk.

When I put mine on my 68 I pulled all the studs out of it and screwed in some short bolts in the stud holes, I then dabbed paint on the bolt heads and put the spoiler in position while the paint was wet and pushed it down to mark where the holes would go. It took 2 times to get all the holes marked but then there was no problem.

From the left rear of the trunk lid, measure
up 3/4" and go in 3 1/2" and 19 1/4". then measure up 3 1/2" and go in 4 1/2" and 20".
Now go to the right rear of the trunk lid and
measure up 3/4" and go in 3 1/2" and 17 3/8".
Now go up to 3 1/2" and go in 4 1/2" and 20".
