I've had issues in the past with several "new" mirrors, both with and without the bowtie. One was very tight, it broke when I tried to adjust it. The rest are very loose and fall at about 30mph.

If anyone has bought one lately with no issues, let my know what type it is and where you bought it.

Thanks.

I bought a repo with Bowtie, from NPD last year, I am still pleased with it.

I am going to install 2nd gen mirrors. The bullet style. They look so much better and you won't have to worry about them going out of adjustment.

Its not really the 2nd gen mirrors that look so much better.. its the fact that from the side of the car when you look past them you see the wing windows.... thats what makes them look good! :D:yes: haha!

No, I think the 2nd gen mirrors look 1000 times better than the 1st gens. I mean the 2nd gen BULLET mirrors. Not the regular 2nd gens. Personally, I am not too thrilled with the vent window. I have been trying to think of a way to delete it. Maybe installing a 68 door. The look of the long solid window, to me, looks much better that a short window broken up by a triangle.
