I have purchased all the parts per Brian's write-up on this swap including the Moog K6582 Long Pitman Arm. My 68 camaro is already a PS car so likely has the stock type Idler Arm. However, I'm wanting to install a new one and now a little confused on which part#/brand I should get cause I was reading a recent post that said the Moog equivalent was not same length as stock. Does anybody know which idler arm I should be looking to get to work best for this steering gear swap considering I have the Moog long pitman arm?

Thank you

K6582 will work OK. It is in-between length of the long and short pitman, so it' is as good/bad for either one.

A "proper" 67 arm is long and would match a long pitman arm best, but it is very expenive and hard to find. The slightly shorter arm will make no difference in how the car drives or handles anyway.

Thanks David for addressing this question. From what I gather, there is only one Idler Arm spec'd for these cars whether power or non power but will work fine with the K6582 pitman arm - does that sound correct to you?
