Two Questions:
Are cross members on the first generation Camaro's
front sub frame different diameters for V8 opposed to V6 cars?

And would a 72 Camaro front sub frame be identicle to a 67 camaro front sub frame? ( Ignoring spindle diferences for disk or drum breaks)

No and no, though the second generation frame can be made to fit with extensive modification.

If you can locate a 68 - 74 Nova, Ventura or Apollo the subframes are an exact fit for the 67 - 69 Camaros and Firebirds.
