I have a intake #3932472 in good shape with no cracks or stripped threads but it is painted silver and will need a restoration. I'm not sure of the date or where to look for it.
A also have a holley carb #3923289-DZ, LIST 4053, 863. It appears to be all there and in good shape. I was told it ran fine before it was stored 2 years ago. I assume it will need a rebuild and/or restoration.
Both these came of my 67 so I have no need for them and would like to reunited them with a 302.
Thanks

The date code for the 472 is under the splash shield.
Your carb is dated third week of June 1968.
Not sure of value.
Good luck,

Do I have to remove the splash shield? If so how?

As Doug pointed out about the manifold many of us do not worry about that as it is covered and who is going to remove an intake and then the splash shield? Some do but many of us do not. The paint does deter from value but no real big deal if the manifold itself is in nice condition. Believe value is around $300 to $450 depending on average to above average condition. Have seen some cherry ones go for the $600 range.....
Carbs are a whole different game as dates are of utmost importance. Lift the air cleaner and there it is for everyone to see. Again as Doug pointed out the date of 3rd week June68 makes it a real early one for the 69 model year. Most people I believe want a carb made within a month or less of when the car was built. Some of the experts can chime in but that carb might be better suited for a late 68 Z28 or 396/375 but not sure when 68 production stopped. Would assume around end of July to early August to prepare line for new model (69) production run.

Have to remove the stock type rivet holding the plate on.

I'm not going to remove the shield.
I did email Jerry to get a quote on restoring the intake ($125). I'm just wondering if I should sell as is or get it restored first. Same with the carb.

I had Jerry restore my intake manifold a few years back and he did a very nice job. He had to pull the splash shield to restore it properly so I was able to get the date code that way. He rivited it back on afterwards. I'm a numbers nut so I was happy to get the date.
Personally I'd sell the parts "as is" and let somebody else deal with restoration.

Again, I agree with Doug. No sense to put more money into as it seldom adds to the bottom line and more times than not subtracts IMO. Carb would cost around $275 to have restored. I'd sell both the way they are.
Good luck,

Once you decide, please let me know what you want for the carb. Thanks
