Welcome, whats your plans, replace or repair. The way it looks I think for the work in-volved it may be easier to put a roof, quarters, taillight panel, and filler panel above the trunk. My opinion just to save alot of agrivation down the road. the roof is the only panel that I didn't replace on my car and I wish I had.

The '69 is going to be a show-touring car. Thank god the hood and front quarters were in good shape because we had our work cut out for us on the back! we replaced the trunk and our body man is amazing and was able to save the roof and rear quarters. We bought new door skins and a new passenger's side rocker. As you can see from the rolling chassis pic, the firewall was shaved, the marker lights on the quarters were shaved, along with the antenna hole. Our body man has had the car for three years now, and we have spent 15k on parts.... and yet to pay for labor! This has been a very slow process, but it is getting ready to start moving quickly!

The motor is painted the same color as the exterior of the car. It is called sunset red metallic. The stripes are gonna be black silver metallic. We have an idea of what we want it to look like. It is taking awhile to figure out what trim and chrome pieces we want to go back with to acquire this look. As of now, the hood and front fenders are painted, and the rest is primed. The body man is making sure that everything is perfect before he sprays anything.

Thanks for looking!

I will try to figure out a way to post all of the detail for each of the cars.

Not sure if this site has garages similar to pro-touring.com.

Anybody know where to make all of this info available?

Thanks,

JC

When we started taking off paint, there was about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of bondo in the top of the quarters. He cut all of that out and made filler panels, and now the thickest spot of bondo on the car is about 1/8 of an inch thick. He is talented! But he takes a loooooong time.... like I said, he has had the car for three years now.
