well I am re wiring some stuff under the hood and my neighbor and I can not find what this wire is.It is in the bulk conecctor it is a heavy guage pink wire.My neighbor restored is dz302 and doesnt remember seing this wire on his car.he brought over his electrical wiring diagram and we can not find it in there neither,The conector shows 8 wires leaving it and mine has 9 wires 1 heavy orange to blower 1 purple 2 starter 1 yellow 2 starter 1 wire to ignition coil and a coupke wires 2 the wiper motor.We are left with the heaviest guage wire and it is pink any ideas what it might be thanks for the help.

If you check out the sticky (Electical Basic) just above your post and look under 69 color schematics, bulkhead connector, it shows a 12 gauge pink wire going to the ignition. I don't remember that wire either in my install but maybe your harness could be for the transistorized ignition system that some 69's had. Thats just a guess though. Good luck.
