Is it the open element or cowl induction style?

If its an "original" with the FLAT bottom w/o the groove built into the bottom it will be worth over $500 depending on condition. If its complete and perfect it would go close to 1K. Most have been replaced due to rust out with GM's second version that has a moisture groove in the bottom of the pan in that case its value is around $150. If its a flat bottom let me know when it goes up for sale :)

If the valve cover tube is missing, that's a big issue. I got an original flat bottom one without the tube, and spent a year scouring ebay to find the correct tube. Finally got one on an otherwise beat up open element base. I think I only paid $10 for it, but it's not the cost in DOLLARS, but the cost in TIME.

The new repops have the correct bottom, but the ones I've seen still had the tube with the two 45* bends, rather than one smooth 90* bend. (actually it's a little less than 90*)

Corvette Cental sells the tubes for appox. $24, they are less than 90*, pretty sure they are very close to correct.

I put it on Ebay and there are pictures up. I tried to find a value before I posted it,but couldnt seem to find any comparables. What type is it? Its item # 120218132010 Let me know what you guys think. Maybe I'll buy another Camaro one day and kick myself....should I put it back up on the shelf?:D Oh,one more thing, the tube that goes to the vavle cover is missing, but its definately in the shop somewhere,we just need to find it.

Thanks for putting up the link. I see the groove your talking about. Whats that mean? I know the history pretty far back on this thing. When did they start putting the groove in? Thanks for your help.

It's been a bit of a debate over the flat bottom cleaner base. Some owners swear they know the style you have eith the groove was original to the car. It was to move moisture from making the filter stick to the pan. The flat bottom WAS used early in production and it IS possible that a change was made during the production year. Too complicated to debate right now. It remains that the flat bottom will bring more money. You might take the "filter" out and take a photo of it seperate. It might be the reason you are getting such a strong response :) Believe it our not the air cleaner filter can bring more money than the cleaner itself.

I thought the flat bottom was used throughout the 69 model year, but I think there was some discussion recently, that late cars got the redesigned one like in the ebay listing. Anyone know for sure?

My 03D L34 pace car has the groove bottom version. The engine compartment was unrestored and complete down to the smog system. It sure looked original and the owner from 1970 untill I bought it said it was not replaced. Trying to convince the court of camaro is another thing :)

You're not kidding. If it's not from a certain bunch of guys, it's not true.
