I want to install a power trunk latch in a 69 Camaro. Has anyone done this that can point me in the right direction for parts and installation ?

Boneyard has lots of them but you need to look at the Buicks or Oldsmobiles. I am willing to bet you will be able to put a system together if you scrounge around a bit.

Stude,

It's pretty easy to install one but the best way is to find the right parts from a wrecker or on eBay. You will need the power lock mechanism with the solenoid, release button for the glove box, and the wiring whip to tie it into the electrical. I see a lot of this on eBay and suggest you search for 69 Camaro Power Locks. That should hook you up, and often enough they have the wiring with them.

Good luck...Hugger

I'm 99% sure that 69 or any 1st gen Camaro didn't have this as an option. Firebird did, go figure. I think that any power trunk lock out of a 69 would work.

The electric trunk release is a bolt up interchange from the 66 or 67 Grand Prix.
