A completely trashed rusted 1968 shell with good title? With re-pop bodies @ 12-13K I was thinking about having this re-bodied? Better than crushing them.

is the shell rolling or just a body?

Rolling roughly $1000
Shell roughly: $200-800

I bought it. $300 has all the glass, pretty wasted. Paint code NN interior code 730. I was told it was a SS 396 car. Can still see part of the blacked out tail panel, and has 4 spd. hole. Guy sanded it down back in the 70's to paint it, then lost interest and parked it under an overhang where water drained on it. Mice got in it. Total waste of a SS 396. He traded the motor in the 70's becasue it was a 325 horse car and he got a 375 horse 327 for trade. What a $%^&*(! Pretty sorry shape, nothing left, but clean title. I know someone saves the internal pieces and re-skins the entire car. Anyone know who does that? I would post pics, but I don't know how to do that here.

I think it is worth 300 bucks, roof, rockers and firewall look useable...

The trim tag looks like it is warped.....did the car burn up or something?

Great Deal!!
I think the title, trimtag and VIN are worth $300.
The side glass and regulators are worth $300.
..and I see $300 worth of front end parts.

You can rebuild it and have a lot of fun in the process.
Good Luck - enjoy! :beers:

Yes, it's snow. The high for Sunday is suppose to be -3. Freakin' Cold! I noticed trim tag was warped or bent myself. Why? Pic. Below Trim tag is the L.R. Frame-rail. Sad thing is the outer rockers, dash, and maybe the roof are OK. On my other car the stuff I have to replace is bad enough I need to do it, but not as bad as this car. Still in the end I have to replace the dash and outer rockers on that car. The doors for this car are laying iside if you can't tell. They need skins. What I'm saying is There really isn't anymore panel replacement on this car as compared to my "good" car. It's just this one the panels that need replaced are in a lot worse shape. Title I have was issued in 1976. It's just sad this used to be a SS 396 in decent shape that was left to rot away. Oh ya, the keys still open the trunk too!

I'd pay $300 for it if I found it in my neighborhood. These guys can re-body it for you if you don't plan to do it yourself. http://www.goodmarkindustries.com/home/index.html
There is another thread on this site of a guy doing it himself with a lot of photos and details.

Good deal! Send it to Tony @ musclecarmetal and for less than $10K you will have a real SS 396 shell in new condition. You just saved yourself $3K over a Dynacorn replica (that would need a title) and you have the real deal!
