I've seen complete (intake, carb, linkage, hood etc) packages for as much as $20k or more. Not sure what things break down by individual component. As for NOS parts, do you know someone with them? I ask because there are new reproductions out there now and I don't recall ever hearing of anyone having an NOS crossram available. One would be very rare...

Some may like this story. Back in 1985 I went to a large swap meet. There was a guy there that had 4 unused GM crossrams (base and top plate only) no carbs or linkage ect. He wanted $650 for each crossram. Said he had owned all 4 of them them since 1970. Said he got them from his brother who had something to do with the Chevys Trans Am program. I only had enough money for one and I bought it. Still have it and its never been bolted onto a engine. Amazingly he said "know one even hardly even looked at them all morning". "Guess not many people know what they were looking at".

Later on around 1990 I took the Chevy factory crossram to another large swap meet to try to sell to finance a project car. Found out the guy was right. LOL With a asking price of $1000. Know one hardly gave it a 2nd look or was not interested so I took it back home with me and kept it. Its funny how much things have changed in the last 10 or 15 years regarding rare muscle car parts and knowledge of them.

Just Wondering What A Gm Original Crossram Intake Is Worth And Also A Nos Intake And Nos Carbs. ThanksI would say anything below 10 -12 K would be a real good deal. But it could sell for much more the way they are going up every year.

I can remember going to maple grove Super chevy the first time in 98; $3k for a crossram intake, carbs, linkage, top, etc- I thought it was nuts... if I only knew...

My brother and I bought a cross ram (no carbs) from a guy that had a 68 drag car. He had taken it off and was selling it. That was in 1971 and we bought it from him for 60.00. In 95 I finally bought my 69 Z to put it on and thats where it it today.

A buddy of mine bought the cross ram set up for his Chevelle back in '69. Couldn't stand how bad the car ran. He pulled it off and tossed it out. Bought an edlebrock with a carb.

who knew? Of course, if we knew we would either have bought car parts or Apple Computer stock (like Forest Gump).
