i know z's are worth money, and the condition of this one seems top-notch, but is it reasonable to ask this much?

I'd say the asking price is high for that particular car, but he can price it whatever he wants. If he gets a buyer, more power to him.

#'s RS Z in a desirable color ? I don't know I think it is in the ballpark , maybe a little high in todays market . I doesn't look like it has the correct wiper motor and I would prefer the correct AIR equipment for that kind of money .

95K is in the ballpark? I'll sell you mine or can you adopt me? That's so over priced it's rediculous. This is why the prices of our cars are so high, to many people with more money than good common sense.

its not the people with money who ruined the hobby, its the people who bought at the bottom end and forced up the prices of rust buckets, and every other peice of junk that is for sale everywhere today. the real worth of most camaros that you see for sale in the $20000 to $35000 price range is probably around $15000 to $25000. If you dont have $75000 for a car what do you? you go out and pay $10000 too much for a lower end car. Its nobodys fault just a fact of life if you want a camaro.

At the risk of beating a dead horse.....I can't believe how many people see cars sell for a number and shout "They overpaid, it ain't worth that much!" Maybe it isn't to you, but it obviously is to someone. The market is set at the most someone will pay, not the least. Remember auctions go the HIGHEST bidder. By definition, that means there's only one person willing to pay that much. (at least on that day, in that room)

That holds true for Million dollar ZL1's as well as rust buckets.

Have two kids and five 69 Z/28's ... no thanks :)

I think if a real 69 Z is a survivor or freshly restored with all the proper parts and is done correctly, with paperwork and in a desireable color combo it can still bring that price or more at auction so that is what I am referring to .

And for those doing restores on Z's, the cost of parts alone to restore to #1 condition brings the car in the "big buck" area. Just look at what YH rims, exhaust manifolds, distributors, alternators and starters go for.

Restoration cost are getting real spendy to do a car right ,with correct parts paint body work etc... Most of the people complaining about prices of camaro's , corvettes etc... Could not afford these cars if they were half the money .. They will never make cars like these again .....
