: cutting holes for RS backup lights?
late68 Dec 31st, 02, 08:57 PM Hello again,My question is about cutting the holes out of the rear panel for the RS back up lights. As i understand it there is the rear panel which needs to be cut of course.what is making me hesitate is the other panel behind the first?Does this require the same hole cut out or just the first one.Does this hole go straight thru both panels as if you could see the gas tank,or just one panel. The reason i ask is when im ready to insert the housing how do you fasten it to the tail panel. Is this done from behind.or is it screwed on first to the tail panel and then the lens is put on?or is it fastened from behind.
This must of been posted before. But was still confused with the second panel. Also does anyone know the exact measument for the pigtail holes that enter the trunk for the wires.
Ive searched several sites and found a few,but never of the inside panel from undernieth the car.Never in any great detail.Could someone post pics of the real thing.Or could you help out in anyway you can. Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
FYI its 1:52 AM here.

kelly69ss Jan 2nd, 03, 03:47 AM Well while you are sending the info out, could I get added to the list?
Im goign to TIG weld a new lower center sectioninto my rear valance and need to add the lights. Only the lower edge is bad due to someone hauling the car and the straps pulling the edges up. The panel in in great shape other than that. I think that its enough that it stretched the metal.
