Can this engine be timed. Why is there is no key way on crank. The book said to put at TDC # 1 with arrow up on crankshaft balancer. Where is the timing mark ?

the optispark only goes on one way, so if the timing chain is installed correctly you're good to go. The timing is controlled through the computer, so you'd need a tuning program to change it. The balancer doesn't matter how it's installed as regards to timing, but I think they give those general guidelines for engine balance more than anything.
