Camaro69RagTop Feb 10th, 08, 06:53 PM Thought some of the team members would enjoy picking this one apart. Considering the money they say they spent on the wiring and the Nova console gauges. eBay Motors: Chevrolet : Camaro (item 220200745120 end time Mar-01-08 23:21:02 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123&viewitem=&item=220200745120)

MichiganMan Feb 11th, 08, 04:05 AM Only real thing that stands out to me is the convert cover. Gawdy!!!!!!!!! I hate the look of a poorly done cover on any car! To me its an indication of the whole restoration
502pacecar Feb 11th, 08, 10:13 AM If it was an RS before they made into a pacecar why doesn't it have the RS parts needed under the hood?
Rick

Come on!!! it's a piece of vinyl and made by an aftermarket parts company. How is it a reflection on the entire car? Oh in this case it's only sitting in place, the fasteners are not clamped to the trim...

well if i was trying to sell a car before i took the pics I'd be sure to snap it down then. In my opinion its horrible.I see this same thing on many cars through epay and even at local rod shops. If someone is to put a good effort into a restoration they surely would put a tight fitting cover on,afterall it sticks out like a sore thumb. My opinion
Pro-Street69Camaro468 Feb 12th, 08, 05:06 PM I like the house its sitting in front of better than the car in that matter the mail box is neat to I personally do not like rag top pace cars. That my opinion mean no harm.

I respect your opinion but would like to sway it some. I kind of agree with you but not everyone makes their bed so a quarter can be bounced off it. If the quarter doesn't bounce it doesn't mean the mattress is bad. Those boot covers are $65 - $150 repro and most don't fit perfect. To have one made is $500 - $1000 if you can find someone that can do it and be creative. The clips and fastening system as designed from the factory are the problem so short of the high dollar custom approach it's hit and miss to get a boot that fits perfect.
I see it every day and the cars are solid, well built and quality paint. A lot of guys hold off on a boot cover and then order one just before a show or putting it up for sale... Then too at a dealership like this one the boss says "hey Joe get that ragtop outside and get the pic's I wanted of it for ebay" Joe's never installed the boot before and it's obvious doesn't know how to fold down the top on the car or it wouldn't stick up as high above the body as it does...
My point, I wouldn't judge a car just by it's boot, especially a 1st gen...
RSSSfanatic Feb 12th, 08, 05:40 PM Wow, ChevyThunder, I didn't notice those the first time. If you are going to the trouble to paint the car up like a Pace Car, at least find a few pictures of the real thing and GET IT RIGHT!! :noway:
