Hey guys I have a stock style disk brake setup in my 69 Camaro, I ended up using a 4th gen master cylinder from a 2000 Z-28. I plumbed the front brakes on the front port of the master cyl and it barely gives me enough brake to stop.......keep in mind I only set it up so I could move it around the property due to different working locations.....didn't want no brakes at all.
Anyway, I havent had the chance to get the rear brake lines run yet, so I simply took the back port and run the hose right up to the master cyl cap, therfore putting the fluid right back where it started out from.
Now, thinking that it might need pressure for some reason on the rear port to make the front port have pessure, I pinched off the line and it never changed.
Here is my question......does anyone know which port is for the front brakes? I'm afraid I might have them mixed up or somthing else might be wrong.
Sorry for my novel and my cheesy way of doing things, but I guess thats just the way I do things.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
By the way, I am running a seperate proportioning valve on the rear brake line.......I don't have the factory prop valve anywhere in the system.
