Does anyone know if there is any differences in 69 inner fender and a 67 inner? I had to replace my passenger side inner due to someone hacking holes in the original to access the AC suitcase. I never asked where the replacement was from, but it is a GM, first gen inner. The problem that I am having is that the inner is hitting the core support and as a result, the lower fender extension is about an inch and a half away from the lower valence panel. The rest of the fender fit is perfect except for the lower part. I have checked the core support for square and it is right on, so my only thought is that there might be some small differences between model years. Any thoughts?

There is a difference. The 69 I believe has 4 indented slash marks close to where the control arm passes under it.

69 wheelwell openings are flat at the top. 67-68 are round at the top. big difference. with the fender on the ground have you laid the wheelwell into the fender to see if it matches i.e. shape and bolt holes?

does the fenderwell have a part number that could be traced? post it if you can.

Thanks Guys! After reading the reply, I determined that the inner is a 67-68 and the problem is caused by poor fit. Comparing the driver side to the passenger side, the DS inner comes within a 1/4" of the core support bolt. The passenger side is about an inch away. I need to do some "adjusting" to get it where it needs to be.
