My body man has offered to hang new doors/fenders/quarters/doorshells/tailpan/left rocker/floorboards/shock tower patch/hood/filler panel/trunk floor ext and a couple of other things for $5250. The sweet part is that this price includes GM fenders/hood/quarters/tailpan. I have to pick up some aftermarket doorshells, filler panel, shock tower ext, floorpans, inner R fenderwell, L rocker, and a trunk floor extension. These are easily found and shouldn't add up to too much (except for the doors).

Sound good to you guys? He also offered to paint it for $3500, which includes an epoxy primer and undercoating the car (car is to be red with black stripes).

I have seen his work...it is nice!

So, how much did you pay initially for the skeleton? LOL ;) Just kidden.
It does sound like a good deal for all the work involved. Especially since GM quarters go for what? $1200+ a pair. Or more.
The car should be nice & tight after all the work. smile.gif Got any before pics?

Geeez, the car looks good like that. Does it have alot of rust, or?
You mentioned a new hood too. Whats wrong with the one that's on there. If it's fiberglass, wanna sell it? smile.gif

Hood pins = structure rust on the inner hood. Thin as paper in spots. LOTS of bondo in that car as it sits...gonna get rid of the bondo.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the labor to fix the roof where it meets the back glass. Has some bondo in it right now.

I was quoted a similar price for much of the same work. My $7k 2 month job turned into about $11k and 10 months later it still is not finished. I would look at examples of his work and talk to at least one customer that had similar work done.

I have seen his work. He wanted me to come look at it the first day I met him. I also know about him because he lives close to where I grew up...and the ppl I know there say he is good.
