I finally got my reproduction grill to fit flush.
When I tried to install my orginal bezels they dont come close to being flush ith the head lights. They stick out a little to far and don't even come close to the holes.
Has anyone else ran into this with a repop grill and original bezels??
thanks for the info

Man does that sound familiar. I have the same problem. I bought a grille kit from Rick's and the grille fit well, however, the bezels did exactly what you described. I tried some OEM bezels and got the same fit. It seems as though the grille is not deep enough for the bezels. I would try a new grille, except mine is painted and mounted. I would hate to have to go to a new grille.....and the cost. I trimmed my bezels to a better fit, but I am still not happy with them. I don't know what the answer is. I may try another set of repro bezels. Let us know if you find a solution. I know I was of no help.

CODI,
Thanks for sharing your storey. My grill is also painted. Frkn weird how these things fit, but don't isn't it? My dealer said the grill I got is a Goodmark.
I've got a want ad out for bezels so i can get some to cut up.
Thanks for the info

Hey I'm having the same problem with my 69. The headlamps look sunk in, and I have to really press to even get close to mounting holes. Please if anyone can figure out a way to make this look good, post results, ideas. graemlins/waving.gif
