I pulled the steering box from my 69 RS Camaro to upgrade to a DSE and put it up for sale on Ebay. I was told by a so called local pro that it was the original...now I'm not sure. Can anybody help.

The box has the following codes and markings
5691676
42 258

Then on the top aluminum side
7812145 261 1

Box has just over 3 turns lock to lock

As I understand the top codes...they are from a box made in late 1971...can this be right? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to change my auction.
