I have a problem with fitting the corvette rims in the rear of my 68 camaro. The rears are 17X9.5 wheels (10.5 os measurement) I currently have them set up with 6.25 backset (with an adapter) I have the fender lip trimmed down to 1/2" I just sat the wheels in yesterday (no Rubber yet), they clear the inner wheel wheels by about 1/2" and about 3/4-1" at the fender lip. I have the hotchkis rear lowering springs with the mono leaf shock mounts. The shock mount rubs the inside of the wheel. My questions...
Should I move the wheel out with a 1/4" spacer? or
Mod the mono leaf plates to move the mount up higher, since I'll probably have to anyway for the shocks? or
Just put some multi leaf plates on?
MY guess..... spacer and modded or multi plate.
Anyone that has been there and already done this please chime in.
Thanks
