How are they being shipped? Slow boat to China? That is ridiculous.

I am waiting to conclude an "open thread" where I complained about AR customer service. It has now been since pre- Thanksgiving and I have yet to receive a replacement wheel for one that had too much bend in it. As of last Friday, my local dealer told me it would be 9-10 days according to AR. Of course, we've been hearing that BS for nearly 4mths now. American Racing sucks. In all fairness, they did deliver a replacement wheel after 2mths, but the idiots didn't put any packing material in the box to protect the wheel...and it came badly bent on the edges from UPS shipping.

Yes, now I recall you posting in that thread. They did pack the wheels correctly/safely the first time, but then some idiot packed the one wheel in a box that the wheel could barely squeeze into...with rim edges up against the box wall. Pure stupidity. As far as moving facilities, that excuse has never even been offered to my local dealer. I wish you luck, Gavin.

Just some additional info on this, I've been wheel shopping for custom AR wheels and have been told by multiple distributors that their build time is approaching 12 weeks on some styles.

I've ordered 1.5 sets of AR wheels/tires from newstalgia over the last 2 years and generally it's taken about 8 weeks from order date to completion date so 2 months for an overseas shipment isn't outrageous.

That being said, their quality has really fallen of the table....:(

Agreed. Our orders have all fallen off, and we have been waiting to fill customer orders consistently 10 plus weeks. Not what you would expect from a company that has preached less production times for 50 years. I can build a set of our own 2pc billet wheels in 3 weeks!

Just to update this with some positive information. I received my FedX shipping notice that my wheels are shipped and due in next Tuesday the 18th, my original ETA was April 15th so this is a huge improvement in delivery, if they show it will make it 4weeks exactly from my order date.
