Hey just trying to find out how to do a vin number check on a 68 camaro i'm thinking of buying

jab, the VIN will only tell you if its a convertible or coupe and a V8 or 6 cyl, but not which engine. The rest of the VIN is sequence it was built and apox. time of year. CRG (http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml) has the most reliable info. on numbers but the 68 was the hardest car to find out about. Even the trim tag had limited information on it.
