I've been lurking for a few months. I got myself a '68 Coupe project about a year ago. It does not have an engine or trans. The body was in bad shape when I got it. It turns out that it is in worse shape than I thought. My attempts at decoding the cowl tag tell me only that it was a V8 4spd car. I don't know much about Camaros yet but I've wanted a first gen since around 1985.

I have the shell stripped down almost all the way and I bought a bunch of steel tubing so I can fab up a body jig. I also purchased a bunch of new panels: complete floor, complete trunk floor, quarters, dash top, upper/lower cowl weldment, left and right cowl air boxes...etc. I've never done body work before so this is a new adventure.:clonk:

My main worry at this point is getting things lined up correctly. I am using some Camaro Performers articles I found on Classic Ind's web page as a guide for doing the sheet metal. I think my rockers are in good shape so I will start by replacing the floor.

My other worry is the roof. In the past someone cut through the a-pillars and the quarters to replace the whole roof assembly. A-pillars need help but I have found no reproduction pillar sections. I have no idea what damage has been done "inside" the quarters.

Anyway....Hello.

Sounds like a full plate. But its all worth it in the end. There are some good threads on body jigs in the body section. Welcome and Good Luck with your project!
