carb is 4160,vacuum secs, hard to start now,due to flooding, fuel comin from secondary shaft on the vacum side,is this due to throttle shaft wear,or could there be a faulty gasket inside,eg.metering plate gasket?if your inlet needle and seat is worn would it cause the same symptoms, any help would be appreciated,(do all work myself, usually rebuild it every year, first year i skipped and havin probs now,but juss wonderin if it is throttle shaft wear or should i rebuild, thanx in advance

If it is flooding, I would be thinking about a piece of trash possibly in the needle seat. Also, holleys may act weird if the power valve is loose. Needles to say the float level needs to be right and fuel pressure should not be excessive.

If it still leaks after a float adjustment then yes, the throttle shaft and/or bushings are worn!:thumbsup:

A test would be to grasp the throttle lever with your fingers and see if you can move it up and down, there shouldn't be any movement.
